code reader/engine diagnostic tool needed

Hey guys-

I'm looking at maybe picking up a program to read codes, etc from my truck: a 2001 F-150. I'd like to get one that runs from a laptop, and maybe has an oscilliscope included, and other good features I may be unaware/not thinking of. I've tried the one from the auto parts store, but it is so generic, it doesn't seem to be much help.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Steve,

I looked at the site but it is too late at night for me to understand. How is it for data logging? Does it have the ability to perform active commands?
