4.6 heads-same plug launch problem as 5.4?

Do the 4.6 plugs have the same plug launch problem as the 5.4's?

Are they are they not the same head's (PI's)?

I getting conflicting information from the dealer.

Would a a head from a mustang 96-2003 fit on 2000 F150?

The 96-98 Mustang head is a Non Pi design and is basically the same head that you have on your truck. If your truck is a 4.6. The Mustang head is Romeo head and it has less bolts holding the valve cover on than a Windsor. Your truck most likely also has a Romeo non Pi head. So bolting on a Mustang head will serve no purpose. The 99+ Mustang heads are Pi heads and they will not match your intake manifold. You would need a Pi manifold from a 01 F-150 for it to fit. If you ever get around to putting a Pi head on your 4.6 it will increase the Compression ratio to about 10-10.3:1. If you have a 5.4 forget about the Mustang heads you already have the Pi head.
