noise

Just a question...
Do the fuel injectors make a slight ticking noise that you might be able to hear with all the windows rolled up and going slow driving down a short street ready to pull into your driveway?
I heard that kind of a noise when I had my other F-150 with the 4.6L, and also when it was idling. I was just wondering if the same thing applies to the 5.4L?
Didn't know if it was the valvetrain or the injectors as someone here siad the injectors make noises too.
Anyone?

I might add that I don't see any cops moving or vibrating when I look at the engine when it's running, and when I have my head under the hood, I don't really hear a ticking sound, just mainly the sound of the engine running. I think it's probably jsut the injectors, but I have been intently listening for strange noises.
Am I just being paranoid about the whole thing?
