I have a 97 ford f-150 4X4 XLT. Just bought it 1-2 months ago. Not a mechanic at all. Put exhaust on it already. And thats it so far. It has a KN airfilter on it also. It runs great. Its been raining here for awhile and the Girlfriend wanted to go mudding. So I took it off road. I didn't over do it cause I didn't have anybody to pull me out. But I did get a little mud on it. Then we went on the interstate and washed the underneath out. Ran great the whole time. Then the next day i get into it and go to work, it starts fine and idles good. But when I got on it at all it sounded like **** and was missing real bad. No power at all but it wasn't starving for gas. So I talked to my dad and he said I might of got a plug wet and I needed to let it dry. And if it wasn't better in a day or two change the plugs. Its gotten a little better. Not nearly as bad. Any qustions.
