412 indicates a problem with the IAC valve. Thay can be cleaned, but I've always ended up replacing mine anyway shortly afterwards.

173 is most likely a worn out passenger side O2 sensor. However, there are additional things to consider. First, check for gas-contaminated oil. If found, change it immediately and investigate the fueling system for a possible leaky injector.

I found it and SHOCKED 2 C it

Well, I do thank the helping advice from you.

I did today look more into it. I felt it was an internal fuel leak and I was right. The fuel pressure regulator was blown and allowing fuel into the vacume line "thus causing" the codes. I was amazed to see fuel squirting out of the vacume port on the regulator. I have never seen this in my 25 years in this business. I know it happens with various models one would think "But" Not in my auto lines.

Anyway, Thanks again guys........... I hope I can be of help in the future.

Remember this,,,

I AM the Fishing God. Ohhhh, and the Audi God.

One would suspect that with a blown diaphram in the regulator, there would have been all kinds of drivability isues such as stumbling, hesitation, black smoke, etc.

Anyway, good thing you found it.

This failure was pretty common on the 1st generation Explorer.
