I wanted to share my fix with everyone due to the fact that I used this forum as a resource. I too had the high idle and went through the throttle body cleaning, IAC removal and clean, TPS voltage test, and replaced the EGR valve (diag code 31,32). After all this I still had the high idle in drive with the idle speed decreasing to somewhat normal when gear shift placed into neutral. I also had the jerky motion when transmission shifted into third gear (tried seperating plug wires 7 and 8, much improvement noted). The final fix was the computer reset. I read this in many of the post I read but failed to do it. Disconnected the battery, restarted after thirty minutes and let it idle for a few minutes before driving. Fixed! The engine now reacts like it should. The high idle was also causing problems with deceleration, it was reeking havoc with the AO4D transmission. Thanks to all who have contributed to this forum!
