I read the code and know it is oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1.
I have a 99' 5.4.
What I need to know is which side is bank one and which sensor is #1. I am assuming sensor one is the one before the converter, but ya know what assuming does.

If anyone can clue me in as to which bank is 1 and which sensor is 1 it would be greatly appreciated.

Bank one, sensor one is the sensor before the converter on the passenger's side. Unfortunately, that's the hardest one to get to and replace!!
