02 sensor trouble code

seems that the dreaded check engine light has come on. Ive had the codes pulled from the truck and it comes up with a P0141 code. the haynes manual tells me that this is a 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction on Bank 1 Sensor 2. was wondering if any of you have had this same occurance and what the fix might be. truck is a 97' f150 4.2l V6 with 123,000 miles. any input would be appreciated.

the easiest way is just go to napa buy a bosch o2 sensor and replace it... i just got done doing the front 2.... trust me the back ones are a breeze by the looks of it... their right in the open!

Check for corrosion in the connector and clean it if needed. If you do decide to get an new sensor put it in the front and replace the faulty rear one with the old front one. That is what I do when I service mine. I buy the rear sensor as they have a longer wire abnd are cheaper here in Canada. I install the new sensor in the front location (bank 1) and put the old front ones in the rear.
