Ported throttle body pix

This took me a lot longer than I thought, but I'm happy with the results.

Great write up, the pictures help out a ton. I've got a couple questions that I hope you wouldn't mind answering.

First off, what is the point what is the point of the "knife edge" on the butterfly valve? I've never heard of doing this.

Also, does the butterfly valve feel any weaker with part of the half shaft removed?

Once again, props on a nice job with the throttle body. My girlfriend could use that bad boy as a mirror

mine is all ported out the same... but there is minimal gain.. i just smoothed mine out for flow reasons cause the intake port is still same size... so that kinda stuff only helps throttle responce... and makes the whistling noise from the IAC sharper

also whats the new size on the TB? 70mm?

HI!... The stock TB is rated at 70mm. BUT........ it is ONLY 70mm around the area that the butterfly swings. The 1st section of the TB is only 66-67mm in diameter. So what your doing by porting it is making it a TRUE 70mm all the way through the total bore of the TB. Also the TB ELBOW has a huge restrictive HUMP on the bottom of the entrance. I took this out and shaped the inside of the TB ELBOW to my liking! LOL! Secret stuff.........

I ran with half a butterfly shaft for 6 years before switching to a fully ported polished BBK 75MM TB. No problems at all.

Very nice write up... Good job.

If you can excuse my ignorance for a minute and allow me to ask. What does setting the TPS do and what it is set for at from the factory? This part is a totally new mod to me that I had not heard of.

HI!... The TPS is the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. The optimum voltage setting for the TPS is 0.98 - 0.99 volts. Mine was set at 0.82 volts from the factory. By adjusting it to 0.98 - 0.99 volts, it will give you better throttle responce and as much as 1 tenth reduction in 1/4 mile times.
