Keep loosing a plug

My 98 4.6 had a plug and wire burn up around 100,000. I replaced all of them and had no trouble until 183,000 when the same plug went bad. I replace only that plug and wire this time. Now at 192,000 the same plug has gone bad again. Another mechanic told me that that year was bad about leaking but I thought it was only on the 4.2's. Anybody have any advice or suggestions.

Which plug? If the one the rear passenger side, there is a coolant hose right over the plug that leaks water on to it. Either replace the hose and/or put a "real"" hose clamp on it to keep it from leaking.
