was at the ford garage yesterday.......they told me that I might have more than a blowed head gasket. they are telling me that its more likely that I have a cracked head. I was getting presure into my cooling system, so i figured it was a head gasket, and last night it blew the heater core. so Im looking at my options if it is a cracked head. (1) being getting new heads. (2) used motor with no more than 50,000 miles and (3) just getting another truck. My ? is...... does anyone know of anyone makeing after market heads for the 97 F150 4.6 and where I can find them?

aftermarket heads are expensive..i'd look into salvage yards they're not what they used to be..call around and compare prices they will strip engines and sell just the heads/intake and such and such..or look in e-bay never know what you'll find...zap!

 

get just some PI heads with cams and valves easy 50RWHP bolt on for the non PI engines which urs is since is a 97

neal .......might be intrested. It sounds like these heads are better than stock stuff. can you give me a little more info on these . Im new to performance stuff for the 4.6. right now Im getting prices on diffrent things I might do,so let me know how much you have to have for your heads . thanks for all info guys
