Try radiatorbarn.com. $150 free shipping and lifetime warranty. I have bought two for various Fords from them and have had no problems whatsoever.

If you take the rad out and then take it to a local radiator repair shop they will fix and test it for you for alot less than a new one.

you could allways bypass the radiator and install a aftermarket trans cooler(if not allready equipped)..if you have a factory cooler just re-rout your cooler lines so you use just the cooler and not the radiator...zap!

Concerning radiator repairs: Ford Motor Company does not advocate trying to repair aluminum core radiators. Replacement is the only option. Some radiator shops will crimp the cores a little tighter, but this is only temporary, and a waste of money. You may gain a few months, before it starts to leak again. Your best bet is to replace it. At our company, we had a radiator repaired with new tanks, but it leaked less than a year later, and had no warranty to go back on. 'Repair' cost was only $15 less than the new warranted radiator. Tough lesson learned.

Since we have a few radiator experts, any clue how hard it would be to switch from the normal setup in a 4.2L to electrical cooling fans instead?
