F150 engine swap??

Just curious.. what kind of work will it take to put the Ford V8 in my F150 V6??

I think i stumbled into a engine problem.. just wondering.. can i put a 4.6 GT engine in it?? or something like that?

I think the engine mounts are different.
Youd have to re-do a lot of electrical, for instance your 4.2 computer will not work on the 4.6

It's possible, but its alot of work.

If these trucks are anything like the mustangs (I'm a stang fan) you'll need new spring and suspension gear too. Lots of little things are engine specific, spring sizes and rates, the computer, etc. It can be done though.

Speaking w/r to vehicle computer,

There are some states going to an OBD II Plug-In emissions test. I imagine that if the dashboard VIN doesn't match the computer's reported VIN then some states might take exception to that.
