right after I got the truck the motor would stall every other day and only when the engine was warmed up and typically after extended driving (i.e. highway speeds to traffic jam stop...when reached a full stop would realize the motor is no longer running!) At first I thought about waiting until after break-in. First oil change at 1200 mi and still stalling. Now over 2400 mi and stalls once a week or so.
The dealership I got it through wants a whole day to look at it and warned, "you will have to pay the diagnostics fee if we don't find anything." WTF? Anybody know what this might be before I let them tear into it?
Gonna break 100k with this one!

First off all, dont get discouraged, there are a few small problems that have come up with the newer trucks. Since its under warrenty, i wouldnt worry a whole lot. The fee for diagnostics sounds like BS to be, especially since its got 2000+ miles on it. (They normally charge around 60 bucks just to plug your truck into the machine)
Take it back to the dealer and find out whats wrong. Youve got a good truck. Dont let a small problem ruin the enjoyment and confidence in your new truck.

No way you will have to pay for anything as the truck is still under warranty. Tell the dealer to fix it or your going to drop a dime on Big Brother.....Mine stalled when new also. They ended up replacing the computer in mine, but many have been resolved by down loading another program in them....THEY HAVE TO FIX YOUR TRUCK !!!!!!!!
I would be very weary of dealing with that dealer ever again after a statement like that.....If i were you i would try to go to another ford dealer....if they told you that it sounds like they are gunna give you nothing but trouble
if possible find a place that will help you with no questions asked........goodluck man...

Your dealer is trying to put the screw to you bud,the truck has three years 60.000 klm warranty bumper to bumper. that means any and all problems are covered including all diagnostic times and tools needed to correct the problem. the only things not covered are wearout items (brakes ,tires, etc).tell your dealer to fix the problem or you will get in touch with the manufacturer.
