Seafoam and plastic intakes

Did a search and came up empty. Any problems using Seafoam in engines with plastic intakes? Thanks in advance.

I have never used it on my present truck, but I have read numerous posts of people using it. None that I read ever said anything regarding problems using it.
Here's a good example:

Yeah, I have read how well it works and have used it on my beater cars with great results. Some of our engines have aluminum and some have plastic intakes and I was curious if there have been any problems (short or long term)using it in the plastic intakes. My 5.4 has the plastic intake.

Gotcha! Didn't know they used both. Hmm, which ones got plastic and which got aluminum? Any drawbacks besides heat retension of the aluminum? I think I'd rather have that than plastic.

I'm not sure about the 4.6's but the 5.4's have either aluminum or plastic and *I think* the earlier models had aluminium and the later models have plastic. My f150 is an '03 with the engine built in Dec. of '02. I should have been more specific in my first post when I said intakes. I'm referring to the intake manifold.

That's what I assumed you meant. I have never seen an aluminum air intake. That would be a heavy beotch.

I've never heard of anything bad about that and there have been a considerable amount of threads on this board about seafoam.

All the F-150 97+ have plastic lower intakes. So if it was going to be a problem it would have been discussed already. BTY I hhave used it on mine with no problems.
