hey i had a cel light that said i have a fuel tank reading error but my gas gauge works! any idea how to get the problem fixed or narrowed down?

 

anyone have any idea? or does no one know what the heck to do

P0460 – Fuel Level Input Circuit
P0461 – Fuel Level Input Circuit Noisy
P0462 – Fuel Level Input Circuit Low
P0463 – Fuel Level Input Circuit High

Here are the pertinent codes. Which one did you get?

The P0460 is also set if the drop in the tank level doesn't correspond to the amount used (by adding up the injector pulse widths over time).

Did you drive offroad, cut doughnuts in the snow, or go parking in the truck with the key on? If the latter, try dating skinny chicks!

 

i had the p0460 code and i did do doughnuts the first time. then i cleared the codes with a superchips programmer and it came back along with a p0125 code. would one of those be triggering each other?

 

Could be but I don't see how.
