Unhappy Engine cutting out

Lately in the morning when I start driving, my engine cuts out (or bucks but never dies) sporadically and both the tach and speedo drop to zero before the engine recovers. When the engine gets to operating temp it usually goes away. I've done some searches on the forum and so far I have changed out the plugs, plug wires, coil packs, and cleaned the maf! Also when it cuts out sometimes I notice the theft light flashing other times it doen't. I don't know if the two are related? My friend seems to think I have a loose wire or ground somewhere on the engine or under the dash? Anyone have a clue as to what it might be? Thanks!

My expy started to do that, but it happens once a week at anytime it feels like it, it seems to happen when I make a left turn, it'll just stumble and do nothing, then just revive itself. It has done it when I go to pass someone on the highway as well, and like i say it only happens once in a blue moon.....

you say it only happens when its cold right? Try letting the truck warm up a little longer before you drive. It could be spark plug cables, i know sounds goofy but if it is not warm and power not flowing you never know what it will tell the computer
