New Engine

I have a 1997 Xl F150 and its been the best running car I have ever owned but the engine has 187,000 miles and Im thinking about putting another engine in it but I wanna know should and can I put a Trition V8 in and will it fit? Or a 351 Cleveland? If so were can I find and buy a trition v8?

Also it has a standard transmission and I want to place an automatic inside...will it fit?

any info i would appreciate it

The way he's talking he has a V6. A V8 will fit, but you will need a new computer, all the harnesses between the engine and transmission. An older 351 is out of the question. It would need to be a 4.6 or 5.4 engine/transmission combo. It would be ALOT cheaper to have 4.2 built for more power. Even adding an aftermarket Supercharger kit would be cheaper, and more fun.
