Gee, you would think that gas prices would cause them to discontinue this foolishness.

I love my Ford but I can vouch for the HEMI, I had a Hemi rental pickup...and lets just say it left literally twice the length of rubber my 4.6 can. It shifted into second and just kept on a burnin!

HI!... I have no problems with any of the HEMI vehicles offered today. Now that I have a little *BOTTLE* friend in the truck, I won't have any problems with the SRT-8 either. Keep trying DODGE...........

MidnightXLT,

The 4.6 is an unfair comparrison to the HEMI. You are short 1 litre of displacement. Try it again with a 5.4.

I have a new 2004 Reg Cab Short Bed 5.4L 4x2. Stock I could hang with a RC SB Hemi and now that I am modded I have left quite a few trying to keep up.

Hook that hemi up to a trailer and see what it does compared to ford's 5.4. Dodge...all that horsepower and no torque..cant get very far pulling with horsepower only. I know i guy that had a hemi and liked it for the get up and go, but when it came time to pull he was ashamed. Well he ended up buying new ford. Needless to say fords are 100 times better riding than dodge especially the new ones. And also look better inside and out. Im sure im missing some things too.

First of all, God made us all real.

"You get what you pay for" (quote from momma). My 98 Voyager has had 3 trannys and the F150 with 108,000 miles has had none. From my real experience, Chrysler tranny's bite. From your buckdropper experience, Ford tranny's bite.

Oh, almost forgot: a Mechanical Subcontractor construction foreman at my jobsite has his new 04 D150 wit-a-hemi..., and the dealer replaced his tranny with less than 10,000 miles on his truck.

Yes, if it has breasts and bumpers you will have trouble with it. But from personal experience I have seen and heard of alot of chrysler tranny problems...

Doesn't look like it has slowed sales much if any. Everyone and their brother has or wants a diesel........Besides the newer engines have more power are smaller, quieter, and burn less fuel. oh and i got ur hemi

Come on trytokeepup 420 foot pounds 425 horsepower youuuu can't tell me that truck won't out pull a ford half ton any day of the week.... and if it still gets 15 mpg dodge has another real winner on their hands.

And Neal, you to, how many of us are gonna put a couple of thousand into there truck make it less reliable, just to match a stock dodge...

If Ford ever comes out with this so called hurricane engine Dollars to doughnuts it won't have as much power as the Dodge engines...

You gotta admit chrysler is on a real roll with all of their new products. And now another good engine to boot for their trucks..

Cripes sakes I got creamed by a soccer mom with 2 kids and a dog in her Durango. I bet she didn't have her (truck) on the floor like I did....

Now most of you are gonna say see ya, go buy the Dodge then and that's not what I'm getting at I'm just real dissappointed that Ford is always at the back of the pack for regular street horsepower. And please don't say a Lightining will beat it, being it probably won't anymore..

Bummer!

Sorry to the dodge guys, but I have a all factory 99' F150 w/ 33s. My buddy Tim and Danny both have new trucks one being a Dodge with a Hemi, and the other a Titan, both factory trucks. So the story goes, we get drunk one night and I live in the country so there isnt a whole lot to do. We decide to have a bigger Di@k contest and hook them together. First the Dodge boy thought he could pull my truck while it was in neutral with the brakes on.....sorry no dice. Then he blamed it on traction, so he figured that if I were to pull back, I would break traction and he could pull me DOWN the driveway......sorry again, he seems to have been pulled UP the driveway by a factory 5.4L Half Ton FORD. So then the Import and the Dodge hooked, and yet again the dodge got pulled UP the driveway. Now the Titan wants to have a go at my truck. This was a better opponent, but still not enough. The moral of the story is...............Nothing tows like a FORD TRUCK......NOTHING!!!!!!!! All a Hemi is to me, is a truck with too many badges that is way overrated..

Bitchin'

Adam

P.S. the driveway is an 8 Degree grade.
