Where is the temp sending unit on 4.9l?

Where is the temp sending unit on 4.9l?

Help Guys .
Where is the temp sending unit on a 87' 4.9L on a F150.
Appreciate any help.

As you open the hood, I believe it is right in front of you off of the thermostat housing. I just changed the thermostat in my son's 90 I6 this afternoon.

Thanks, but isn't that the temperature sensor?

rear passenger side in block underneath intake manifold should have only one wire connected to it
