Mac cold air intake

About a month ago I installed my Mac cold air intake. The two rubber hose that came with the kit did not fit all that well. One goes to the PVC and the other I can't remeber. Any way, Does it make a big difference if the hoses aren't on with hose clamps? Right now they are just stuck on to the appropriate tubes. What problems if any could this cause?

I'm not that familiar with what the engines comp wants to see from the PCV valve, but I do know is that on older vehicles you can run an open air breather on the PCV to vent the cranckcase gases. Recirculating the PCV valve gases into the intake is just for emissions. I wouldn't be overly concerned with the PCV valve, I don't know about the other hose though.
