Question engine overheating.

i got a 1988 ford bronco II that keeps overheating, i tested the rad, and it seems to be fine, its not leaking anywhere, but it just overheates in a matter of seconds, and the heater was working a couple days ago, and now it just stopped working, any suggestions? thanks..

Sounds like you got a blockage then. Try bypassing the heater core to see if that is where the blockage really is. I just recently had a fun time dealing with an overheating issue on my Cavalier...

Might also want to check the thremostat. If you have a blocked heater core and a thermostat stuck closed it will definitely overheat and not take long to do it unless you are in the Antartic or something.

Hope that helps.

No heat + overheating usually means one of the following:

Low/no coolant.
Failed water pump.
Blockage.

I'd go for one of the first two before anything else.

My guess is either you puked out your coolant or else the waterpump impeller isn't turning anymore.
