Extended Crank Intermittent Problem

I have a 2002 F-150 FX4 5.4 liter engine It has intermittent problem - it cranks but does not start. It takes a few trys some days. Others days it starts right up. It has been back to the dealership six times in the past month and a half. They have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, A/I valve and reprogrammed the computer. Nothing has worked.
Has anyone experienced this problem and is there a fix?

Joe,
My wifes 2003 LS was having this same problem several weeks ago. It finally stranded her at the gas station. Had the car towed to the local dealer. They found that the PCV assembly had cracked and was causing a major vacum leak. I know the LS has a different engine but its something to look at.
