Is your coolant level low?

Check out the drip tube on the firewall. it allows accumulated water to drain out of the heater plenum. If cloged it will keep the water in. It is on the passenger side below where the heater hoses enter the cab.

I had the same problem on my '03, and when I took it to the dealership, they were too lazy to work on it, and told me to turn the heater on high and let it run for about 5 minutes, then it should take care of the "sloshing sound." Give it a try if you want a quick fix without disabling anything, it worked for me.

For me that sounds has always meant low coolant level and air in the cooling system.
