so what about a late 02 f150 with the 5.4? would they be safe??? thats what i have...............

 

I'd have to assume that 98%-99% of them are fine. I also have an '02 with 40K miles. There are plenty of things in life for me to worry about without adding this to the list. If a plug blows or if the tranny takes a dump, I'll deal with it at that time. At least with this forum we are armed with info on how to best deal with an issue if it applies to our truck.
