Unhappy NO Oil Pressure

I had the oil changed, and all was fine. Afterwords, my oil pressure guage dropped to zero and the temp and oil light came on when I was driving. After a second, it went off and the pressure returned to normal. Then, this morning, about 1 week later, I started my truck, and there was no pressure. After a few minutes, it came on and is working again. What could cause this? I checked the oil level and it's good, and there is no overheating or engine noise. Would the temp cause it? It was 20 degrees out. The first time I drove over a curb at an angle and was rocking pretty good, so I dismissed it as the movement. I'm stuck.

It is most likely that the oil pressuer sending unit or the connector was disturbed when the oil filter was removed/replaced. Personally I would check it out. I would get a mechanical guage and check the actual pressure immediatly.

It's a faulty oil pressure sending unit. My 2001 Expy 4.6 had the same problem. The sensor cost about $10.00 at the dealer. Buy a new one and replace it at you next oil change. The sending unit is located on the oil pan next to the oil filter. Took me about 30 minutes including the oil change.
