1976 F-100 engine info 390ci V8
Couldn't decide which part of the forum was the most appropriate to ask about this in(sorry if I don't have it an an acceptable place)
Anyways, I was just wondering if any of you have any specifications(power ratings mainly) on what a 390ci V8 in a 1976 F-100 would be putting out from the factory. Also, any idea if one of these engines can be built up to run pretty good(as far as I know, they were "economy" engines in the pickups with other platforms getting the 390's more suitable for performance...) I'm sorta gauging interest I guess to see if getting this type of engine is worth it for what I want(something to modify and maybe throw in a later model Ford truck or car w/ a blown engine).
