What viscosity should I use with winter nearing?

What viscosity oil should i use with winter near? synthetic? castrol gtx startup? or just regular oil? i have a 5.0, 1994. thanks for your advice

Ford recommends 5W20 or 5W30 for temps below -25C.

As far as what kind it's up to you. If you go synthetic, hold off on those changes until at least 8000 KM(- +6000 miles). Just to make sure you get your money's worth.
