Need help with hesitation problem

Just the other day my 97 F-150 with the 5.4L hestitated just a little when accelerating, no check engine light. Today the check engine light came on and the engine has a slight hesitation when you punch the accelerator. After the initial hesitation, it seems to run fine throughout RPMs until you punch it again. I open the hood and watched as my son punched it in the driveway and I could see the whole intake to the throttle body jump when he did it.

Any Ideas before I take it to Autozone to get the code read. I want a few ideas of what it could be before I go. I am not sure when I will get the chance to go though.

You are on the right track. The code will be a big help. Tough to suggested anything before then. Could be the IAC, but then it could be about 10 or more other things.

Let us know
