I am considering purchasing a 1998 ford econoline conversion van this weekend and ran across this forum. Wow, what can I say. I'm no mechanic and read that the "ford" extended warantee does not cover this.

Does anyone know of another aftermarket warrantee that would cover it? Penn Warrantee Corp? Others?

Don't laugh at me for this but I was going to ask my mechanic to install time serts into each spark plug hole when I get my tune up. I am not sure if this is even possible, but I think it 's a good idea. Never worry about this problem again if it was to work.

 

I had a spark plug blowout on a '00 EB Expy.
I had a Ford EXT. WARR. and it was covered.
I may have something to do with the Dealership???
