2001 4.6 Miss
I just dropped my truck off at the dealer for a miss on my 2001 4.6 Super Crew with 73,500 miles. It started out as a "bucking" in overdrive, and then quickly started in 3rd gear also. By the time I drove the truck to the dealer, about 3 miles, it started rough idling, with the tach moving up and down a few RPM's. I was called later today and they told me that there was a miss in the #7 cyl. and they changed the COP. I went back to pick the truck up, and I drove to the end of the dealer parking lot and the miss was back. Needless to say, I turned around and returned the keys to the dealer. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've seen a few threads about the EGR valve and tubing. Would this show up on the diagnostic test? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sad thing is, the mechanic scratched my fender in the process, so I'm going back tomorrow in a pissy mood about that, along with the 1 minute fix of the miss.
