i installed the k&n intake on my 4.6L 2003 SuperCrew...still getting the whistling sound because of the "air bypass valve" can i remove it and put a straight hose??? please help...

 

First, welcome to the site from Canyon Lake, Texas. Second, everything I've heard says that the "whistle" is common and I've not heard of any way to get rid of it. I still run the stock set up, but I'm sure that if you can get rid of it, you'll find out how here. Good luck
