air bypass valve

air bypass valve

do i need to leave it in when installed K&N intake? i still have a whistling sound regardless of hat i do...

The whistle sound is because the original intake assembly has silencers built into it which the k&n does not have. If by "air bypass valve", you are refering to the idle air control valve or IAC, the answer is yes, you need to leave it in.
