Oil change after head gasket change

By later today I hope to have my truck fired up after doing the head gasket. Quick question: Should I change the oil now or run it to fluch everything out first (I was careful, but of course stuff falls in the block). If I run it, how many miles should I go before I change it? Thanks in advance.

Unless water got into the oil, drive it around town for a little bit and change the oil.

Thanks Spray...no, no water. Had a compression leak into the cooling sys. I did get her fired up. There was a vaccuum hose that came disconnected and it looked like the motor was going to jump off the mounts. I think I had a mild heart attack! Not what you want to see when you turn her over after a head gasket job!
