Clean intake, how?

So yesterday, I decided to clean my throttle body. Was very dirty. Looking into the upper intake, it was REALLY BAD!! Oily, carbon and who know what. How do you go about cleaning this. Of course you have to take it off (upper intake) but how do you get inside of it? Just bought the truck and going through the paces to clean things. Truck does run rough at idle (may be egr too).
It's a 1990 f-150 5.8ltr.

Wow, I bought that stuff and used it and now the throttle response is very noticable. I had reservations about sticking this stuff it but said "what the hell". I'm not sure it cleaned the intake (need to look inside and see) but the truck feels a lot better.

Thanks!!

Here is how someone cleaned his intake on a 4.6L engine...

It boils down to removing the upper intake plenum and its attached parts and then using throttle body cleaner and a rags/pipe cleaners to clean the plenum/throttle body etc.
