EGR and IAC cleaning
That's actually a loaded question, so yes and no.
If the EGR is clogged, you will burn "rich" and therefore use more fuel. By cleaning it, use will use a normal amount of fuel (therefore no). It really depends on how dirty they are and how rich, you're running

I must say the article is close to what I go through when working on my vehicle though I did not see any cuss words in it...
