4 of the 8 fuel injectors I got are bad. Guess I get what I pay for. So they gotta send the injectors off and they're gonna resend some new ones. Damn that was a pain in the ***. So far my experience with using one of the ads on the side of the forums hasnt been a good one.

It sounds like someone has nailed this one down.

So how the heck do you know 4 of your injectors are bad? Do you give each injector a little cup and have it submit samples for volume analysis? (and do they mind if ya watch)

The head shop guy has a good buddy at the dealership, so he dropped it off there on Saturday and they ran a test that measures the amount of fuel and the spray pattern of each injector. I forget what he called the machine. At least I saved money by not going to the dealership and letting them put in $115 (each) injectors. The guy at Sunrise Carbs & Injectors said they "test" each injector before they are sent out and that he doubts they are bad. I really hope that guy doesnt give me crap about the 4 they're gonna send back.

I don't know man that just doesn't sound right to me. I mean I hope you have found your problem but it seems kinda off. Did you put your stock injectors back in to see if that fixed it?

No, its in the shop. I was tired of messing around with it. If 4 of the remanufactured injectors were bad, I can see why its throwing a lean code. If its not getting enough fuel, that'll cause it. I'll find out in a few days.

Oh yeah if 4 of them are bad that would cause a lean code but it just seems unlikely they are bad. A injector is basically on or off so if it wasn't working at all I could see that but your truck would barely pull itself if only 4 injectors were working. It's not normal for an injector partly work, usually if you have a poor spray pattern then the injector is clogged or the tip is cracked.

BTW I can't believe the dealer wants $115 each for injectors, I'm about to buy 60lb injectors for my cobra for like half that.

Update on my problem, I replaced my DPFE a week ago and the check engine light has not come back on, looks like it fixed the problem. spray004 you may want to look into this if the injectors don't fix your problem, good luck.

I'm still waiting on the jackasses to pick my truck up from the dealership so they can start to replace the injectors. If they havent picked the truck up by lunch time monday, I'm getting it myself and doing the work myself.
