slight surge, and sluggish take off

It's an 01 4.6, surges in drive a little,and most of the time when you want to take a little faster it takes a little for it to respond what could it be??

kinda sounds like it could ge your tps (trottle positioning sensor)

do a search on here and you'll find a bunch of info on them and how to adjust or replace them...I just did mine last weekend.
