Question Boost Gauge

I'm new to the message board, but have been reading it for a while. Just got my 2000 L about a month ago and i'm loving it. My question is, when I bought the truck I discovered it has a chip on it and it also has an air raid intake. Can anyone tell me what the boost guage is suppose to read stock? I know the upper pulley hasn't been changed and haven't had a chance to check the lower, but when I floor it my boost gauge pegs out like it's nothing, just wondering if this is normal or is something wrong? Sorry for such a long post. This board is great and loaded with info. Thanks Brandon

Welcome ! The stock setup is rated at 8psi, but the gauge is inaccurate and commonly reads 10psi. Aftermarket intakes and pulleys will commonly peg the gauge.
