Oak tree mechanic and newer trucks

I just bought a 2003 V-6 Gas F150 XLT and want to change the air intake to one of those fancy Air force one kits. My question is How hard is this removal and installation?

can't be any simpler, all you need is a flat screwdriver and away you go. it's not much harder then changing just your air filter

It's a simple procedure and the kits come with nice instructions. Don't worry about it at all.

Thanks for the replies folks, I will have to order one up and take the plung. I already Did the grill mod and a few other simple mods to make it look a little fancy, now i want to make it run a little fancy and make it sound like a truck.

Having a blast so far, I bought the Truck with 20K on it. It sat for a few months. I changed all the plugs and wires, Oils and filters, drained the antifreeze and cleaned the cooling system out and refilled. Changed the fuel filter. Cleaned the whole engine compartment up nice and neat. Added a bug guard, changed the grill, added some wind deflectors on each window to keep the rain out of the cab so i can keep a window open when i drive. I ordered up a new airforce one air intake today and this week she is getting some new ranchoos and anti sways and then we will see about that stock exhaust Yuck!!!!.

Thanks for the Welcome,
Today i had some time to kill So i had the stock muffler cut off and a new MagnaFlow put on. My little F-150 Now says Hey i am out here in traffic with the rest of you guys. Has a nice throaty sound to it and a lot less weight under the bed as a bonus.
