CAI for Ram AIr Hood
Hello i had a question about my intake. does anyone know what the best Cold air intake is for a ram air hood.
Here's how i have it set up right now:
Do you think maybe i could just get an steal or ceramic coated elbow pipe and connect it to the stock airbox?
I've got a K&N air filter in there right now.
THanks for all the ideas and help.

Great lookin truck!
not sure why you would do that, you have ram air--everybody is trying to get what you have. I left my stock air box, added an intake tube from f250 (larger opening and takes air from beside the radiator instead of on top) dropped in a K&N filter and covered the entire thing with thermal tape. for every 1 degree of ambiant air temp (heat) loss you gain 1hp, give or take but adding steel or ceramic may increase the temp of the air. its gathering that temp increase from the engine compartment. try the tape=$60 vice spending $100-200 and defeating that ram air.
I really think your getting the coldest air possible now.
