Exclamation CNG (compressed natural gas)

does anyone know if their's a CNG conversion for a 98 F150? and if so how much does it cost and what kind of mileage does it get? is there a difference in power? ive done searches and keep coming up with very vague info.

Try contacting F150Europe. Gas conversions are very popular in Holland. He might be able to direct you to a good site.

Also check withyour local gas company. I did that with a 460 back in the early 80's and it paid for itself in 2 years.

well since i drive it for a living and do about $30 in gas a day it should pay for itself in about 6 months.

I work for the New York State DOT and some of our F-150's with 5.4's run CNG (2wd, reg. cab, long bed, 7700 series). It does have a few problems. First of all, the fuel cell in ours takes up about a quarter of the bed. Second, we can only get about 250 miles out of a fill up. I also seem to see more occurance of the spark plug blow-out problem with our CNG's. Other than that, it runs just as strong as a normal vehicle and just as good.
