Fuel filters

Well, I've been meaning to ask this since I replaced my last one, but my dealership charged me $18 for the fuel filter.

I had already bought the filter from the dealership, when I found out AutoZone has filters for our trucks for $7. Are they any good?

$18 seems like a ripoff (not a big shock from these guys considering they charged $5 per gasket for my intake).

I bought a Purolator from Autozone. If my memory serves me correctly, I remember reading somewhere that the OEM Motorcraft units are made by Purolator. If that is indeed the case than they are the same or very similar.

Yeah.

Thanks. I'll give that one a try next time.

Just bought a Napa Gold (WIX) for about $8.00. Took about 15 minutes to put it on.
