Standard (manual) trans on F150
Have any of you got a manual transmission on your F150? I am trying to find what type of manual was fitted to the F150 for 99 and 2000 and 2001. My manual states an M50D is fitted to 2000 models, but the 2000 motor I have is fitted with a Tremec T45. What do you guys have fitted? Are they different with 4x4 and 4x2 models?
Thanks

All three of those years have the same Mazda M5OD-R2 tranny. The basic difference between the 4x4 and 4x2 is the extension housing. The 4x4 uses an adapter to fit the transfer case. Your combo sounds like it came from a Mustang or a Cobra not out of a truck.

EDIT: After thought, if it came out of a truck are you sure it is a T-45 and not a ZF from a superduty? Your profile shows a 5.4. The Super Duty comes with a 5.4 and a ZF tranny.

Thanks, your reply makes this an interesting issue. My 5.4 is definitely from a truck, and the tranny is definitely a Tremec T45, and the harness fits perfectly so it's genuine. Also, I sent the numbers from the tranny to Tremec and the answer was that it was certainly a T45 that was fitted to F150's in 2000 for a little while. But I seem to have the only one I can find. I don't have the truck, just the motor, tranny and harnesses to put in my Cobra kit.
Maybe - I have a hybrid monster that will give me a few challenges to get running!
