Problem finding air filter

I've seem to run into a problem trying to find a air filter for my 2004 F150 5.4L. I have been to every parts store, Wal Mart, etc and no one carries these things. Looks like I will just have to head to the dealer to get it. Has anyone else run into this issue or have you found the filter you need at the parts store?

Yes I thought about a K&N but I am unsure if I really want one of those or not. I use my truck for work and I work in the construction business in FL where there is alot of sand in the air. Yes I know that the K&N would filter the sand better but I would think I might find myself cleaning it way to often. I could be wrong on this thougt?

Initial cost would be high as well but yes in the long run it would work out better.

Thanks.

trust me,they work very good in dust.i run my open element
in mud, dirt, gravel everything and it lasts longer than the stock
and still flows better dirty than a brand new stock, thats just my

Your stock filter would be getting dirty as well.

I'd rather be cleaning my filter than replacing it.
