Oil in antifreeze
Oil in antifreeze
Usually means blown head gasket.
I have an 02 5.4L F150 with only 37,000 miles.
Well my antifreeze looked like pea soup, more yellow than green. There was some sludge at the bottom of my stock antifreeze resevoir too. I don't have any antifreeze in my oil though, I drained it to check. All the plugs look good. Idles fine, runs as usual and the engine temp is normal. Antifreeze is only 20,000 miles old. No visible leaks. It's never overheated either.
There is an internal leak somewhere, but a blown head gasket causes major problems. I would assume if there is oil in my antifreeze, then there should be antifreeze in the oil pan. That is not the case.
