Ok, I have a 98 f150 with the 4.6. I took the throttle body elbow off and cleaned the egr ports. I then put everything back together and now when lightly accelerating the truck jerks a time or two and pops, like a backfire. I have done a vacuum check on the egr and replaced the DPFE. I also checked for any vacuum leaks. I do not know what else to do, PLEASE HELP!

 

Try dis-connecting the battey for 15 minutes to reset the computer. Are you absolutley certain everything is re-assembled properly? Never hurts to double check.
