In 2000 the 4.6 in the trucks went to COP ignition.

Talking I feel smart now

Oh I see.... I never knew that..learn something new everyday
On my 97'' F150 I have the 5.4 and I just changed the plugs about 2months
ago and it was a pain in the azz. I had to pop the driver side fuel rail off
to get the coil out. Has anybody ever changed them without poping the fuel
rail off?

Jimmy

It can be done but why make things difficult? Two bolts and pop it off to gain all that room. Just don't forget to lube the O rings so they don't tear and leak.
