5.4MAN - I doubt you will see much if any difference in poewr between the K&N and AF1.
However, if all you did was get the K&N filter and not the FIPK setup, then ignore my comment

i dont know if it was safe or not, but i had alot of throttle response.
every time i touched the gas pedal to leave from a dead stop, the tires would squeal.
even after i plugged it back in, i could still feel a difference.
