where does ford get its reman engines?

just wondering where ford gets their 5.4 engines in case of a customer bringing in their truck for a replacement motor. Are there any new 5.4 engines for 1997 f-150's or are they all remans? thanks

I was under the impression that Fred Jones Industries in Oklahoma City rebuilt many engines, transmissions, water pumps, etc. for Ford Motor Co.

Fred Jones also owns many Ford dealerships, whom used to be the big supplier for U-haul industries.

when i bought my truck (98 with 4.6) it had a blown engine and the dealership said they would put a brand spankin' new one in it. Well, a few thousand miles down the road I was having some warrenty work done at a ford dealer (not the same one who put the engine in it.) They informed me that they never put brand new engines in trucks where the original manufactures warrenty is expired.
